XTORX

Search the Web of Torrents using XTORX

No ads, no trackers, no files hosted here.

How it works

  1. 01

    You type a query

It stays in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, because there isn't one.

  2. 02

    XTORX does the magic

The same words are encoded the way each of the indexes expects them.

  3. 03

    You pick where to look

Open any index in a new tab, with no referrer attached, and compare what each one has.

Where it looks

Open content archives come first: they carry material that is free to copy and share by licence.

Questions

What is XTORX?
XTORX is a torrent meta-search engine. One search covers every major public torrent index at once, so you can see what each of them has for your words without typing them again on a dozen different sites.
Does XTORX host torrents?
No. XTORX stores no torrent files, no magnet links and no index of its own, and it runs no tracker.
Does XTORX track me?
No. Recent searches are kept in your own browser's local storage and never leave the device, and outbound links are sent without a referrer, so the indexes are not told what you searched here.
Is using XTORX legal?
Searching is. What you then download is governed by the law where you live and by the licence of the material. XTORX puts open-content archives such as Academic Torrents and Linux Tracker first for exactly this reason.
